A 17th-century classic Tuscan stone farmhouse, Villa Fonteintanata carries a rich agricultural heritage and authentic charm. Thoughtfully restored and surrounded by 81 hectares of certified organic farmland, it offers a peaceful escape with modern comforts—hammam, wine cellar, private pool, and warm, welcoming interiors. A truly magical place where century-old traditions and slow living are woven into every detail.

A certified organic farm-to-table experience, Villa Fonteintanata is home to olive groves, walnut trees, truffle patches, vegetables, and happy animals raised with care. Every ingredient on your plate is harvested steps from the kitchen, following principles of permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and sustainability. From homemade cheeses to honey from their own bees, this is slow food at its purest—offering meals that nourish the body.

We’ll also venture out for a scenic trek and a visit to one of Tuscany’s nearby UNESCO World Heritage towns, with the chance to soak in a natural hot spring or wander through historic streets. Blending the two creates a practice that’s balanced, empowering, and deeply harmonizing—both physically and mentally. It also supports self-growth, confidence, and overcoming fear.

Best of all, yoga and calisthenics are accessible to everyone. Using only bodyweight, every movement can be adapted to any level. After years of hosting retreats across continents with participants from over 40 countries, Issy and Maxime have seen how this fusion inspires lasting transformation—on and off the mat.

Issy Nadee

Issy started her yoga journey after years of suffering from back pain scoliosis, causing lots of physical and mental issues. She wants to encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle through yoga, mobility and movement to enhance the joint’s mobility. Her class combines modern movements and mindfulness. She gives various modifications. She believes that ‘yoga is not about the poses, so don’t let the poses define you. We use them as a tool to connect and learn deeper within ourselves’
Maxime Ronse

Maxime Ronse

Max brings years of experience as a personal trainer specializing in calisthenics and strength training. With a deep understanding of anatomy, he excels at breaking down movements and integrate muscle groups to optimize strength, mobility, and body awareness. His expertise in calisthenics perfectly complements the yoga practice, as both disciplines share roots in bodyweight training and functional movement. His knowledge and passion for movement make him an invaluable asset to this training, providing unique insights into how strength training and mobility can enhance and deepen yoga practice.

The closest airports are Pisa and Florence. Pisa is about a 1-hour drive (approximately 75 km), while Florence is around a 1.5-hour drive (approximately 90 km) from Villa Fonteintanata. Both airports offer a variety of domestic and international flights.
The closest city is Cecina (24 min by car). Although there are buses and trains from major cities, public transportation does not reach Villa Fonteintanata directly. The best and cheapest option is to rent a car once you arrive at the airport.

The check-in time is 3pm, although you are welcome to come earlier and hang out at the the pool or other common areas if you arrive before and your room is not ready. Check out time is 11:00 am, but a late checkout is possible whenever there is availability. Also, if you wish to stay longer and book some additional nights please let us know and we see what is possible.

Late May in Tuscany brings warm, sunny days with temperatures around 18–25°C (64–77°F). Mornings and evenings can be cooler, so a light layer is useful. Rain is rare—expect mostly clear skies and ideal conditions for outdoor activities.

Absolutely! Issy and Maxime have thousands of hours of teaching experience under their belts. They can offer endless options and variations so everyone can practice at their own level. The most important aspect is to have fun while exploring the capabilities of your body at your own pace and under the professional guidance of your trainers.

Afternoon:

  • 14.00 – 17.00 You may opt to participate for the activity of the day. This could be a hike, excursion to local town, pasta making workshop, cold plunge, yoga workshop, stretching & relaxation.
  • 18.30 – 19.30 Dinner
